Gifts in Honor or in Memory

Celebrate or remember someone you love while helping families in Eastern Kentucky.

Pay tribute to a family member, friend, or loved one – living or passed – by making a special gift to the Housing Development Alliance (HDA). Your tax-deductible donation helps provide high-quality, affordable homes, supporting financial stability for families and strengthening our community for generations.

How Tribute Gifts Work

In Memory:
When you give a gift in memory, we will send a card or email (your choice) to acknowledge the gift in your loved one’s name. The gift will also be recognized in our Annual Report. Memorial gifts usually support our Annual Fund, which funds HDA’s greatest needs. If you specify a purpose, we will honor your instructions whenever possible.

In Honor:
Gifts in honor let you celebrate someone special with a meaningful impact. We’ll send a custom card by mail to let your honoree know a gift has been made in their name (gift amounts are not disclosed). Honorees and donors may remain anonymous upon request. Honor gifts are also included in our Annual Report and generally support our Annual Fund.

Types of Tribute Gifts

While most gifts are monetary, other donations are welcome:

  • In-Kind Gifts: Construction materials, supplies, etc. (Please note: Only high-quality materials or equipment may be donated. Because our needs change based on project volume and supply availability, we ask that all in-kind gifts be coordinated with our Development team before delivery.)

  • Land or Real Estate

  • Vehicles: Service trucks

  • Stocks or other financial instruments
