Naming Opportunities
A Name That Carries Forward
When you support the Housing Development Alliance, you’re doing more than making a gift – you’re helping families put down roots, build stability, and imagine a future in a safe, affordable home.
For some donors, that impact feels deeply personal. Naming opportunities offer a way to honor a loved one, recognize a lifetime of service, or celebrate your own commitment to Eastern Kentucky – by connecting a name to a place where lives are changed.
What a Named Space Means
A named floor plan isn’t just a design – it becomes the blueprint for multiple homes where children grow up, neighbors gather, and families rebuild after hardship.
A named road or subdivision becomes part of a community’s identity.
A tree planted in someone’s memory grows alongside the families who live nearby.
These tributes are quiet, lasting, and meaningful – just like the generosity behind them.
Naming Opportunities & Suggested Giving Levels
Floor Plan Naming - $1,000+ or 5+ Years of Loyal Giving
Name a home floor plan after yourself or someone you wish to honor.
Examples include simple, personal names like “The Hawkins” or “The Jake.”
This opportunity is especially meaningful because a single floor plan may be used again and again, extending your impact across multiple homes.
Subdivision or Road Naming - $5,000+ Unrestricted Annual Fund Gift
Recognize a significant commitment by naming a subdivision or road that serves families for generations. These names become part of the landscape – and the story – of our Eastern Kentucky community.
Memorial Trees or Small Plantings - $2,500+
Honor a loved one through a living tribute. Trees and plantings are placed in appropriate locations and may include a simple plaque when feasible. Each planting represents growth, resilience, and remembrance.
Plaques for Capital Projects - Gift Amounts Vary
For donors supporting buildings or capital projects, plaques offer understated recognition that aligns with HDA’s facilities and signage standards.
Recognition for Longtime Volunteers - 10+ Years of Service
Some legacies are built through time rather than dollars. Volunteers who have given a decade or more of service may be honored through special naming recognition coordinated with HDA staff.
A Thoughtful, Collaborative Process
All naming opportunities are handled with care and intention.
Eligible gifts may include one-time contributions, pledges, bequests, life-income gifts, or matching gifts. Availability and placement are coordinated to ensure alignment with HDA’s mission and long-term stewardship of our community.
