Additional Ways to Give

Flexible Options to Support Affordable Housing in Eastern Kentucky

Supporters of the Housing Development Alliance give in many different ways. Whether you prefer a traditional donation or are exploring a non-cash or future gift, HDA is grateful for your generosity and committed to stewarding every gift with care.

Over 86% of HDA’s annual budget directly supports housing programs and services, with the remainder supporting essential operations that make our work possible.

Give by Check or Mail

Some donors prefer to give by mail. Checks should be made payable to Housing Development Alliance, Inc.
Mail to:
P.O. Box 7284
Hazard, KY 41702

The postmark date is considered the gift date.

Gifts of Stock or Securities

Donating appreciated stocks, bonds, or other securities may offer tax advantages while supporting HDA’s mission.

If you are interested in making a gift of securities, we encourage you to contact our Development team so we can ensure proper acknowledgment and processing.

Gifts of Real Estate

HDA may accept gifts of real property when the gift aligns with our mission or can be responsibly liquidated. All real estate gifts are evaluated prior to acceptance to identify potential risks and ensure feasibility.

If you are considering a gift of property, we welcome a confidential conversation.

Gifts In-Kind

Donations of materials, equipment, vehicles, or professional services can directly support HDA’s construction and repair work.

Learn more about current needs and how to coordinate an in-kind gift on our Gifts In-Kind page.

Event Sponsorships

From time to time, HDA offers sponsorship opportunities connected to volunteer or fundraising events. Sponsorships allow individuals, businesses, and organizations to support our work while gaining visibility and engagement.

Planned Giving (Looking Ahead)

Some supporters choose to include HDA in their estate plans or make a future gift as part of their legacy. While these gifts may not impact our work today, they help ensure affordable housing remains available in Eastern Kentucky for generations to come.

If you are interested in learning more about planned giving options, we would be honored to talk with you.
